The Braves came dangerously close to losing Larry Jones (Chipper Jones for those with an unfortunate sense of humor) for an extended period of time when he hit a foul ball that ricocheted off the batting cage and hit him just below his left eye. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where a CT scan showed no fracture. He is listed as day to day and is likely to look like he got socked in the face tomorrow.
Larry leads major league baseball with a .414 batting average.
