Ryan Franklin Helps Bolster Phillies Bullpen
With Philadelphia closer Tom 'Flash' Gordon dealing with nagging health issues, Ryan Franklin's demotion to the bullpen will help strengthen a setup corps already depleted by Ryan Madsen's promotion to No. 4 starter. Switching Franklin became possible when promising rookie Gavin Floyd persuaded management he was ready to take over the No. 5 starter's spot.
